Neobank is a fintech app startup with a new approach to banking services. The service can help users to view finance flows, make payments, control the balance on all cards, and see expense analytics.
Redesign concept for Atomic Wallet
Blockchain technologies rapidly evolve and will soon become a part of everyday life for most of us. They all provide similar services but have different designs.
What should a perfect cryptocurrency wallet look like? We reflected on this question and decided to redesign the popular app called Atomic Wallet making complex blockchain technology as convenient as possible for each user.
About the Client
Atomic Wallet is a crypto wallet that provides services for creating a checking account, buying, stacking, and exchanging different cryptocurrencies. It helps people achieve their cryptocurrency goals conveniently. With this application, crypto enthusiasts can manage their Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Litecoin, and more than 300 other coins and tokens.

NeoBank needed help with design and iOS development for the new fintech app. They wanted to provide potential customers not only with easy banking service, but also with a great tool for making new good habits on users' way to financial independence.

Project Scoping
For starters, we adapted our design process to the tasks performed during this project. We also had to plan a time estimate for each app design stage to save money and time.
Generation of ideas
While generating ideas, we sought inspiration from top cryptocurrency apps, social media, and other popular blockchain platforms. It was crucial for us to make the e-wallet design comfortable for the human eye, with a pleasant color scheme and intuitive UX.
UX Research
We started with extensive competitor research. We investigated top cryptocurrency wallet applications and startups offering a new approach to similar platforms. Thanks to UX research, we concluded that the main problem of blockchain apps in the is their complexity.
Customer interview
The next step was user interviews. We talked to different demographic groups since the app had to be user-friendly for everyone. We wanted to attract not only crypto-enthusiasts but also those who want to start exploring the world of cryptocurrencies.
UI Design
After the UX research, the team worked on the visual user experience. Based on previously created wireframes, we elaborated the interface in detail, selected colors, pictures, animations, illustrations, etc., and added them to the pages.

Brief filling
First of all, we asked NeoBank to fill out a brief. In it, the founders write in detail about their vision of the future product, its main competitors, its mission and values, and also provided examples of services that inspired them.

We also realized that there is a very large scope of work ahead. We had to develop the product from scratch. Therefore, we started with clear planning, structuring of tasks, and estimation by time.

The main advantage of NeoBank is the emphasis on outstanding user experience. In order to achieve the best deliverables, we had to find out all the needs of the target audience to provide the best product solutions.

The platform had to quickly process a large amount of data, deliver a variety of financial features and allow users to easily access any necessary information.

Since NeoBank wanted to offer its users the most convenient fintech solutions, its founders immediately decided to start with an application.

We set a goal to create the app with a modern design and, at the same time, provide personalized cryptocurrency help for every user. We also took into account that in today's world, getting all the necessary information in just a few clicks is very important for users.
UX Research
We always work according to the design process stages. UX research is one of its first steps. We needed to gather information about users' pain points and needs, conduct user interviews, and create a customer portrait.
User flow
After analyzing the results of the UX research, we started working on the User Journey Map. At this stage, it was important to ensure that users easily navigate between the app features and reach their goals. Much attention was paid to ensuring that the app performed equally great on different smartphones.
Wireframes
A wireframe is a relevant tool for working on any product, such as cryptocurrency wallets, innovative technology startups, banking apps, etc. At this stage, we create the basis for the best user experience.
Moodboard
We were looking for inspiration by observing the modern and innovative designs of cryptocurrency wallets. This way, we could generate fresh ideas that will allow the redesigned app to demonstrate that it keeps up with the times and is open to new technologies. Our Atomic Wallet design translates this through every interface element.
3 styles option
Next, our design team started working on the cryptocurrency wallet user interface. We wanted to create a convenient, structured application that would be easy to navigate, even for novice cryptocurrency owners. Users should not get confused with a large amount of data; they can confidently check account balances, withdraw money, buy cryptocurrency, and enjoy other powerful tools.
Final version
We have developed 3 style options for the cryptocurrency wallet application interface. We usually send them to clients so that they can choose their favorite option. This time, we discussed these three options during a team meeting, had a brainstorming session, and decided on one option for the application design.
