Challenge #1
NeoBank should provide the best UX design that can satisfy users with different demographics and lifestyles.
Challenge #2
NeoBank was seeking a new vision of banking services. It should not be too formal but not too fancy either.
Challenge #3
The Client had a limited timeframe and scheduled investors pitch also, so deadlines were really important.

About the Client

The Look-Alice founders decided to create a new startup. They wanted to create a unique mix of online and offline marketplace will help offline businesses to attract more people and increase sales.

The product solves the problem of small businesses located in one area that can’t afford custom mobile applications and loyalty programs. For a monthly fee business, the owners can sign up, add the business info, deals, and events as well as goods on sale and promote it in a selected local area. With Look-Alice app people who own flower shops, small cafés, and yoga classes can attract more clients in their area.

Solutions

1
Quality UX research
Look-Alice was looking for effective solutions for their startup.  In order to satisfy users' needs, we collected and analyzed as much information about them as possible. Then based on that information, we created the best application features to solve users problems.
2
Design process
The product had to be created from scratch. The founders came to ANODA with just an idea. We clearly structured all the processes and discussed the scope of tasks. The UX design had to be simple and understandable for both business owners and users.
3
Modern Interface
We wanted to create an app that would be visually pleasing with its UX/UI and positively influence the user experience. All information should be simple, data should be clear, and app performance should be fast and responsive.

Scope of Work

The startup's founders wanted to create a unique app that would help offline local businesses attract more people and increase sales. The product is supposed to solve the problem of a small business based in a certain location with a single app.
Our task was to understand for what types of business we create application, what is the target audience, what functions should the application contain to solve users' problems and many other aspects. We estimated the scope of work and started realizing the client's idea.

Filling out a brief

First of all, we asked Client to fill out a brief. In it, the startup founders describe in detail their vision of the future application, its main competitors, its mission and values, and also provide examples of services that inspire them, and they’d like to see a similar UX design.

Project Scoping

We also realized that there is a very large scope of work ahead. We had to develop the product from scratch. Therefore, we started with clear planning, structuring of tasks, and estimation by time.

Product Design

The main advantage of Look-Alice app is the product's uniqueness and great user experience. In order to achieve the best deliverables, we had to find out all the needs of the target audience to provide the best product solutions. That’s why we interviewed both local business owners and their clients. This approach helped us to better understand the users pains and requirements to create the best application for them.

Back-end & Front-end Development

The platform had to process a large amount of data, so we immediately focused on finding the best technological solutions for this task.

Native Mobile Development

In today's world, people want to find the necessary services as quickly as possible, so creating an application was a great solution!

Scope of Work

The founders of NeoBank spent more than a year looking for an agency that would help them with design and development. They understood that they were too busy with other projects and would not be able to devote much time to NeoBank. They needed a team that would also be inspired by their idea and work on it independently enough.

Ideation & Evaluation

Any project we start with discussion of ideas and requirements of the Client, we identify how the Client's product will benefit people. After that we start collecting information about the target users, the field for which the application is created, we analyze competitors, find users' pains and ways to solve them. We estimate the project and negotiate the deadlines with the Client and start the further work on the project.

We started with a big meeting where our team was able to learn more about the project and ask all their questions.

UX Research

We always work according to the design process stages. UX research is one of its first steps. We needed to gather information about users' pain points and needs, conduct user interviews, and create a customer portrait.

We started with a big meeting where our team was able to learn more about the project and ask all their questions.

3

User flow

After analyzing the results of the UX research, we started working on the User Journey Map. At this stage, it was essential to ensure that users easily navigate between the app features and reach their goals. Much attention was paid to ensuring that the app performed equally great on different smartphones.

Wireframes

A wireframe is a relevant tool for working on any product, such as travel apps, creative startups, money-saving apps, etc. At this stage, we create the basis for the best user experience.

We started with a big meeting where our team was able to learn more about the project and ask all their questions.

5

Moodboard

We were looking for inspiration by observing modern travel and booking app designs. This way, we could generate fresh ideas that will allow the app to demonstrate that it keeps up with the times and is open to new technologies. Our Look-Alice design translates this through every interface element.

We started with a big meeting where our team was able to learn more about the project and ask all their questions.

3 styles option

Next, our design team started working on the travel app user interface. We wanted to create a convenient, structured application that would be easy to navigate, even for first-time users. People should not get confused with app data; they can confidently check apartments or hotels, adjust the appropriate price range, use the calendar, chat with hosts, and so forth.

We started with a big meeting where our team was able to learn more about the project and ask all their questions.

7

Final version

We have developed 3 style options for the Airbnb interface. We usually send them to clients so that they can choose their favorite option. This time, we discussed these three options during a team meeting, had a brainstorming session, and decided on one option for the application design.

We started with a big meeting where our team was able to learn more about the project and ask all their questions.

8

UI Design

We chose a light color palette for the app's background, adding vibrant colored accents, since the platform needed to have a friendly and engaging look like most modern modern social networks. Also, we had to create a simple and intuitive interface that would make users life easier without creating any problems.

Project planning & Zero sprint

After the design was completed, we took time for new planning in the development team. Developers also needed to discuss the technical requirements for the project and choose technological solutions.

Web & Mobile Development

Our team recommended using React.js on the front end, Node.js on the backend, and Swift to build the app. The development was based on 2-week sprints to ensure the right level of flexibility, maximum value, and a constant feedback loop.

Final QA / Testing

Each stage of development is tested, so we are confident in the quality of the delivered product. After we finish working on it, we also do Final QA to make sure it's perfect.

Feature #1
News feed
The “News feed” feature is an integral part of such an application. We designed and developed it to focus users' attention on new posts related to their followings. In addition we have developed the common horizontal scrolling for users to show all images and save screen space.

Feature #2
Search & Discover
According to our surveys, we tend to visit awesome places that are located nearby first. So, by Default we will show you shoppers and businesses with the same interests near you. Yes, we track you by GPS. Search can be done by business name and shopper first name and/or last name.
Feature #3

This feature was a real challenge for us as it required a lot of information. But we nailed it perfectly! Users can check username, number of followers, number posts, business address, distance to business, short description and working hours. With this handy feature you will get all the necessary information.
Feature #4
Mapping
Using the handy "Mapping" function, users can check out the businesses near them, as well as move around the map to view more. Also by clicking on a particular business, users can read the profile of the selected company.
